About Us…
Our story
Strathearn Interiors began in 2017, born from both experience and necessity. After coming home to Scotland, Susan chose the path she knew best: design, craftsmanship, and creating beautiful homes. Having grown up in a family business centred around interiors, she learned the craft young, starting as a teenager and later working in an interiors shop in Edinburgh. From show homes across central Scotland to running her own business in the area before moving abroad, interiors have always been at the heart of Susan’s life.
When her daughter Alex completed her dissertation and degree during the pandemic, she joined the business to help for “a couple of days a week.” Five years later, she now leads the administrative and organisational side of Strathearn Interiors. With a Master’s in Business and a natural talent for structure and systems, Alex ensures everything runs smoothly while Susan focuses on design, creation, and installs.
Together, they form the mother-and-daughter duo behind Strathearn Interiors, supported occasionally by Alex’s brothers, Ben and Fred. Their blend of experience, creativity, and family values has shaped a business trusted by domestic clients, interior designers, B&Bs, hotels, and property developers across Perthshire, Scotland and beyond.
From bothies to castles, every project is approached with the same care, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
Local Pride
As a family business, supporting our local community comes naturally to us. And when Alex isn’t keeping Strathearn running smoothly, she’s busy being a superstar on the rugby pitch - so sponsoring one of her teams felt like the perfect fit. It’s a small way for us to champion the hard work, teamwork, and spirit we see both in the sport and in the homes we help transform.
